FAQ

WHAT SOFTWARE DO YOU USE FOR DIGITAL PAINTING?
I usually use Photoshop on the computer and Procreate on the iPad with an apple pencil.
WHAT TABLET DO YOU USE?
I use a Wacom Cintiq 13HD and a Intuos Small when working on the computer.
WHAT BRUSHES DO YOU USE?
I don’t really use such special brushes, my favorite ones are the stumpy brush, the HB pencil brush by Macalabs and the simple round brush (with opacity and flow linked to pen pressure) for painting and blending.
DID YOU GO TO A SPECIAL SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO DRAW AND PAINT DIGITALLY?
I went to animation school and studied 2D animation back in 2008, that helped me improve my drawing skills, but I learned digital painting and illustration by myself watching online tutorials, reading books and practicing a lot.
DO YOU MAKE TUTORIALS OR BEHIND THE SCENES?
Yes, you can find my basic tutorials for free on my Youtube channel, but I post behind the scenes and more extensive tutorials on my Ko-fi page exclusively for my members.
HOW DID YOU BECOME A KO-FI AMBASSADOR?
I was contacted by the Ko-fi team because I run two Ko-fi related communities and I use most of Ko-fi services very often. They usually search for people who are invested in promoting not only Ko-fi itself but also the way you use Ko-fi in relationship with your craft. They also have in mind people who are creative in their way of using the platform and have a positive attitude towards the community.
DO YOU TAKE ART REQUESTS?
I don’t take free art requests at the moment, you can commission me if you’d like a drawing.
WHERE CAN I FIND OUT WHEN YOU’RE OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS?
I post my commission status on my social medias usually on the description, and here on the website. You can also check them on my commissions page.

About me

I’m Tatiana aka Pixelation Girl and I’m a 2D animator and visual communicator from Uruguay that loves to draw and paint digitally.Unlike many artists I haven’t always drawn, my dream was to be a film director. But I live in a country where not only is very expensive to go to film school but there’s no big film industry and by the time I finished high school that wasn’t much of an option back then. So I went to animation school instead where I learned to animate but also how to direct a short film, I basically learned some of the same things you would on film school but with drawing bases. I later went to college specializing on visual communications. And ended up working on the video game industry developing art for a while. So I started taking digital art pretty seriously very late in life, around the year 2015, I also draw and paint traditionally but I find digital painting a very versatile way to make a finalized piece in a shorter amount of time, since I have no patience with watercolors and other mediums. (That’s why most of my traditional pieces are either pencil sketches or colored with markers).Nowadays I work as a freelancer, doing personal and commercial commissioned work, I also became a Ko-fi ambassador in 2021 spreading artists support and fee free donations around the creators community.SOME OTHER FACTS ABOUT ME:Name: Tatiana Machado
